inside and out. We may be from a “third world country” but that doesn’t stop us
to thrive to look as lovely as we can every single day. Look at how many

2. We take a bath (take note-bath-not just a quick shower) every
day. Women from the Philippines actually love taking baths that most of them do
it more than twice daily. Good hygiene is very important to us as it is to
other people from the other parts of the world.

3. Even the poorest families here in the Philippines are
striving hard to send their kids to school. Education is a significant thing
not just for Filipinas but for all the Filipinos. It’s very common for other
countries to have Filipina as their maids. Those are the Filipino women who
worked very hard and sacrifice their own lives just to earn money to send their
kids, sisters or brothers (or nephews or niece) to school.

4. We take contests like Ms. World, Miss Universe, Miss International,
Miss Supranational or any other beauty pageants seriously. Our Filipina
representatives to these competitions like Miss Megan Young in Miss World 2013 work
their butt off really hard just to bring home the crown. They have to go
through long hours of rigid training before they can represent our country to
the competition.

5. Filipino people in general know how to respect other people
and value their opinions. We may be in frenzy right now for what Devina Dediva
have said on her Facebook Page about Filipino Women but we know how to forgive –we
don’t hold grudges. We are confident and proud on where we stand in this world
and no racist comment can take that away from us.
